About Leah Perry

In 2020, at the height of the global pandemic, fashion photographer Leah Perry found herself further away from the camera than she’d ever been in her professional life. Craving a creative outlet, she plowed through all the art supplies in her apartment, trying on mediums from charcoal to graphite, but fell in love with the saturated hues and textural possibilities of colored pencil. So, she sketched, leaning on her constant lockdown companions — a quiet but infinitely captivating colony of houseplants — for inspiration.

Leah’s fascination with light, fragility, delicate detail, and, above all, the imperfection and asymmetry of nature shine through in her ever-growing collection of hyper-realistic botanical illustrations. Leah draws exclusively from her original photography (a nod to her day job), accepts commissions for requests special to her friends and colleagues, and genuinely wants to know what your favorite flower is.

Leah Perry is a native Bostonian educated at Emory University and Miami Ad School Atlanta. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her boyfriend and two cats, where, when she’s not photographing humans and products, you can typically find her sitting peacefully among her dozens of green-leafed friends.
